Hybrid Working

Hybrid working is a mix of working remotely (Work from home) and In-office working. For today’s workforce, a hybrid environment is perhaps an inevitable result of improved technology we use to do our jobs and has been hastened by the recent lockdown.

Before lockdown, network and data security was the biggest concern of the remote workforce. Communication in person was important for personal development and to assess talent. So remote working was not replaced by traditional workspaces.

After lockdown started, the point of view began to change and there was an increase in confidence in remote working. A survey indicated that work from the home policy may change within the next year, considering companies will continue, and support the development and maintenance of hybrid work.

To maintain productivity in hybrid work, businesses need to adopt new technologies and initiatives. Organisations need / already started to change organisational structure to sustain remote work using hybrid working, for the safe and secure technical environment for employees.

For this, organisations started to invest in technology and equipment like firewalls, routers and servers to ensure a productive and cyber secure workplace and environment.
